One More Week Remains of Three Visions at the Flinn Gallery in Greenwich, CT

Perry Burns @ the Flinn Gallery

As they say, all good things come to an end. And next Wednesday, "Three Visions" at the Flinn Gallery located above the Greenwich Library will end. It was my first hometown show in Greenwich, Connecticut and I am so thankful to the community for all of their support! Please be sure to help spread the word about "Three Visions" as we countdown to March 16th, 2011.

Also, as a recap, here are some great links with information on the event. I want to thank the members of the print and digital media for helping all of us involved in this Flinn Gallery show spread the word.

7 Day Until The Flinn Gallery "Three Visions" Opening Reception! A Blog of Thanks Regarding This Show.

7 days....in 7 days, I will return to my home town and debut my art at the Flinn Gallery, Greenwich Library. I have been very hard at work promoting this show and the meaning around my art. By painting and exploring "organic geometry", my hybrid of Islamic pattern and abstract expressionism, I strive to elevate the ideas of tolerance, peace, and common humanity that are so necessary in our post 9/11 world.

This promotion process has not been done alone. I want to thank Art Hash for posting my event information and for interviewing me.

Here is the link to the full interview -----> http://arthash.blogspot.com/2011/01/artist-interview-perry-burns.html

This morning, I was interviewed for a WGCH segment. A special thanks to Tony over there.

I want to thank the Flinn Gallery and curator Kirsten Pitts for this opportunity as well.

Despite the fact that there is a pile of snow outside, things are looking pretty bright. And I am excited for the opening taking place in 7 days.

I hope to see you there.

Perry Burns Art: News Update/A Weekly Recap

Hello, good evening, thank you for reading this.

I had a successful week leading up to my opening reception for "Three Visions"at the Flinn Gallery and am delighted to share some fun milestones online. I also want to thank all of my supporters, fellow artists and curators alike.

  1. I came across this picture of myself and my painting, “Meridia,” which was inspired by the use of patterns in Islamic cultures and in Southeast Asia that are incorporated into their art and architecture. Photos by Colin M. Graham
  2. This past week, I was mentioned and featured by the Beca Foundation for their Twitter Tuesdays feature on artists http://campaigns.ratepoint.com/campaigns/863f01e3900fd13bb70b2f46b4b382178217
  3. The Blog, ArtHash, featured the Three Visions Event on their site.
I have been busy painting, framing and preparing for the show. I hope to see you there!
